Will Oracle Pass BEA In the Middleware Market?

"Oracle has claimed in a press release or financial-analyst conference call that it would soon pass BEA Systems in the "middleware" market. And I’m not counting the July 2006 securities analyst meeting where an Oracle exec claimed BEA was “already in its rear view mirror.” But, unfortunately for Oracle, it is using BEA as a straw man to declare itself a winner in a market that is likely to have changed by the time in 2007 or 2008 when Oracle can honestly claim to have passed BEA."
