Fiorano releases ESB 2007 with cool new features

Fiorano releases SP1 for Fiorano SOA 2007 - Several key enhancements for users

» In-memory deployment of service components
» Enhanced Performance
» New Process Orchestrator
» Enhanced Service Components
» Standards Based Component Development Kit

as described in greater detail below.

In-memory deployment of service components
With SOA 2007, you can now launch components in the same JVM as the peer. You can run your business processes with just a fraction of the memory it would need in default deployment modes. Also with in- memory deployment, you can achieve enhanced throughput and better scalability. You can now pack more business processes per peer resulting in significant savings in your deployment costs.

Improved Performance
New optimizations in handling the business process metadata have  resulted in reduced memory utilization and improved performance. Optimizations in the message routing have resulted in a 20% increase  in data throughput. With these new optimizations and in-memory deployment, Fiorano SOA 2007 is the fastest from Fiorano yet.

New Process Orchestrator
SOA 2007 ships with a brand new event process orchestrator, which is  now bundled into the Fiorano Studio along with many other tools. New  capabilities include nested categorization of business processes, start and stop of multiple processes, document a process in tabbed  view, print the design, notification of external modification etc. Some advanced features like cloning routes, rerouting existing routes and grouping components make the tool even more intuitive.

New Service Components
SOA 2007 has several new adapters including a new Exception listener and a PDF converter. With the exception listener component, you can now design one universal error handling flow that will automatically intercept exception events from any business process. The PDF adapter extends the reporting capabilities of the platform. You can now generate PDF reports out of database tables, SAP iDocs or just about any data.

Standards Based Component Development Kit
Unlike previous versions of the software, the new component development kit is fully standards based. It is based on JCA and JMS standards. The components can be developed, deployed and un-registered from within an Eclipse IDE, apart from other popular IDEs.  The tools include scripts (ANT) to automate the process of compiling, building and deploying components.
